What camera do you use?

- Canon 5DMK2. I like the full frame, the high iso performance, and the video aspect of the camera.

What is your favourite lens?

- Canon 35 f1.4L for low light work, Canon 24-70 f2.8L for everything else.

What tips can you give me as I'm just starting out in the business?

- Try and develop your own style and method of working. Don't try to copy the latest fads and fashions. Remember that wedding photography can be a tough business to be in, and success may take several years to achieve.

What method do you use to convert your images to black and white?

- I use my own 'Ascough Silver Actions' Usually the '400 film look' action or the 'Proof b/w action'

Have you any seminars planned?

- If I have any seminars planned, details will be posted on my blog first.

Would you be willing to mentor me or provide me with a consultation?

- I'm 100% focused on my own business and clients at the moment, which doesn't leave me any opportunity to provide mentoring for another photographer.

Can I link your website to my blog?

- Absolutely. If you would like to post an image on your blog, please ask first!! That way I won't send you a nasty email about copyright abuse ;-)

Can I come and second shoot with you, or carry your bags?

- My style is very unobtrusive and discreet. I prefer to work on my own to lessen the intrusion into the wedding day. Having more than one photographer at the wedding changes the whole dynamic of the photography - and I'm not really wanting to do that.

Who designed your website and blog?

- Big Folio designed everything for me, except my online shopping solution which was designed by PickPic. Please don't ask me about the music that is on my site - as I'm not telling you!!
